Effective date: August 5, 2026
Acrely measures land area and distance on your iPhone. It has no accounts, no login and no server of its own. This policy is short because there is very little to describe.
Everything you create. Your measurements — the coordinates of every corner, names, notes, colours, photos you attach, and the units you prefer — are stored only in the app's own storage on your iPhone. They are not uploaded anywhere, and we cannot see them.
If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it. Export your measurements first (KML, GeoJSON, CSV, GPX or PDF) if you want to keep them.
Acrely asks for location access "while using the app" so it can show where you are on the map and record a boundary as you walk it. Your position is used on the device, in the moment, to draw the map and to build the measurement you asked for. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
If you record a boundary while the screen is locked, location updates continue in the background for that recording only, and stop when you finish it. You can decline location access entirely and still measure by drawing on the map.
If you attach a photo to a measurement, the app copies it into its own storage on your device. Photos are never uploaded. Acrely does not read your photo library beyond the images you pick.
Maps and satellite imagery come from Apple Maps (MapKit), which is part of iOS. When the map loads imagery for the area you are viewing, that request is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We receive nothing from it.
Acrely Pro is billed by Apple. Purchases are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, which tells the app whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase status. It does not receive your name, your email, your location or any of your measurements.
We do not collect analytics, we do not use advertising or tracking SDKs, we do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell or share data — because we do not have any of your data to sell or share.
Acrely is a tool for measuring land and is not directed at children under 13.
Because your measurements never leave your device, there is nothing for us to export or delete on your behalf. Deleting the app removes everything. If you have a question about this policy, write to us.
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it.
