By downloading or using Tree Identifier ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
The app uses AI to identify trees and plants from photos, including notes on toxicity and care. Identifications are generated automatically and may be wrong. They are provided for information and education only.
Toxicity notes are informational and must not be your only basis for safety decisions. Never eat, feed, or let children or pets consume any plant based on an app identification. If a person or animal may have ingested a toxic plant, contact a poison-control center, doctor or veterinarian immediately — do not wait for or rely on an app result. Care tips are general guidance, not arborist, medical or veterinary advice.
Premium features (unlimited scanning and the full identification profile) require a subscription billed through your Apple account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms. Where required, Apple's standard licensed application terms apply: Apple Standard EULA.
You agree not to abuse the service — including automated scraping, reverse-engineering the app or its API, circumventing usage limits or subscription checks, or using the app for anything unlawful.
The app relies on third-party services to work: AI processing (OpenAI), subscription management (RevenueCat) and payments (Apple). Their availability is outside our control; the app's features may be limited if a provider is unavailable.
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for losses or harm arising from decisions made based on identifications, toxicity notes or care tips. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the last 12 months.
We may update the app, these terms, or discontinue the service. Material changes to these terms will be reflected by the effective date above. We may suspend access in cases of abuse (section 4).
