Effective date: July 22, 2026
By downloading or using Lumber ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
The app provides woodworking plans and step-by-step build guidance, uses AI to identify wood species and wooden furniture from photos, to estimate market values, to suggest repairs, and to generate build plans from your ideas. AI-generated identifications, estimates, plans and repair suggestions are produced automatically and may be wrong. They are provided for information and hobby use only.
Woodworking involves sharp tools, power equipment and physical materials. Plans and instructions in the app are general guidance for hobbyists — you are responsible for your own safety, for using tools according to their manufacturers' instructions, for wearing appropriate protective equipment, and for judging whether a build or repair is structurally adequate for its intended use. Do not rely on the app for load-bearing, safety-critical or child-safety-critical constructions without your own verification. Repair suggestions do not replace a professional assessment.
Value estimates for wood or furniture do not constitute a professional appraisal, an offer to buy, or financial advice. Actual prices depend heavily on species, condition, maker, authenticity and demand. For potentially valuable pieces, consult a professional appraiser or dealer.
Premium features (full plans, plan generation, value estimates, unlimited scanning) require a subscription billed through your Apple account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms. Where required, Apple's standard licensed application terms apply: Apple Standard EULA.
You agree not to abuse the service — including automated scraping, reverse-engineering the app or its API, circumventing usage limits or subscription checks, or using the app for anything unlawful.
The app relies on third-party services to work: AI processing (OpenAI), subscription management (RevenueCat) and payments (Apple). Their availability is outside our control; the app's features may be limited if a provider is unavailable.
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, for personal injury or property damage arising from builds or repairs you undertake, or for losses arising from decisions made based on identifications or estimates. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the last 12 months.
We may update the app, these terms, or discontinue the service. Material changes to these terms will be reflected by the effective date above. We may suspend access in cases of abuse (section 5).
